Be As Strong As A Military Woman

I am currently in Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) and frequently get asked the question, “How do you do it?”. Most of the training to be an officer in the Army comes down to more than strength. It’s about being smart and making friends that will last a lifetime, but it is true that one attribute I get graded on is my physical strength. Because of this, my battalion has us workout together three times a week and encourages more than that on our own time.

Just because you aren’t in the military doesn’t mean you can’t be just as in shape as the girls that are! The Army has certain weight and fitness standards that can be applied to anyone. What is awesome about them is that those standards change as you grow older which makes it really easy to tailor your workout plan to feasible goals. I think every women should be able to meet the standards that the military has set with a little bit of training.
